Alemahehu Theodore
to follow
"Prince Alemayehu Tewodros , Emperor Tewodros II and the beauty of Mrs. TiruworkHe was a child. In 1860 AD, Emperor Theodore's war with the British, his son Prince Alemayhe Theodore was taken to England. In our column today, we would like to make you laugh about the life of this prince in a foreign country. Prince Alemayheu was born on April 5, 1853 in Debter Tabor city. Emperor Theodore, who was happy with the prince's birthday, fired a cannon that day and released about 500 prisoners. It was a pleasure for the emperor to play with the prince. It is said that even if they were angry and upset, their anger would cool down when they hugged and kissed Alemaye. If Prince Alemayheu fell into the hands of the British, Buhala had to have someone to protect and take care of him because of his young age. General Naper, who understood this, assigned a man named Captain Speedy to be the protector of Alemayehu, because the captain spoke Amharic fluently. In addition, two Ethiopian mozits and players named Chief Zerat and Ato Gebremedhn were chosen for him. Alemayehu boarded the ship called Ferez with his guard Speedy in 1860. He headed for England. During their time on the ship, Speedy and Alemahu formed a very close friendship. Wherever Speedy went, he used to follow me around. General Napier, who saw this love between the two, decided that the Ethiopian nannies should return to their country, instead of letting Captain Speedy take over the responsibility of Alemayehu. Although the English historians say this, we have no proof that the prince hated his Ethiopian tutors as much as they say and wept in frustration every time he saw them. After a three-month long journey, Alemayehu arrived in England. Before he got there, he met Queen Victoria, the then Queen of England. The queen gave a thin order that the prince should be given whatever he wanted. It has been repeatedly written that the prince was very unconscious because he saw the massacre that was going on and the successive deaths of his father and mother were too much for his child's mind to accept. In the diary of Queen Victoria in a museum in England, the queen said: "The poor boy is still afraid." That thing comes to his mind because he saw the Magdalen massacre and his father's death. " We get word writing. When the prince arrived in England, Captain Speedy, who was the bodyguard, began to teach him the English language, and the queen kept a close eye on the prince's condition. It is said that they put a supervisor on Speedy to keep a close eye on the prince's affairs in order to prevent him from harming his son. Queen Victoria once wrote about the prince in her diary: "He is a noble and beautiful boy." He also likes to eat cake and ate all the cake I gave him." We find a sentence written. The queen is often heard saying to this motherless boy that I am his mother. Special respect and love for the prince; They reported that she had special attention in her essays. Although his friendship with the queen grew stronger from time to time, he never forgot Captain Speedy, who was with him when he left the country. Speedy wants to be with him wherever he goes. When he goes to a party or is invited to play with the princes' children, he does not leave Speedy behind. Even when he enters the palace, he follows Speedy. Speedy and Alemayheu eat together and sleep together. Having trouble raising Alemayehu on his own, Speedy decides to marry a wife to help raise his son. Then he met Mrs. Kotan and married her. Time to fall in love with Alemayehu and Mrs. Kotan He would not have taken them. In 1861 Mr. Speedy was appointed as the commander of a city in India, so he headed there with his 8-year-old Alemah and his wife. In the country they went to, Alemayehu continued to follow his education, and apart from his regular education, he also enjoyed horse riding and other sports. After the prince remained like this, the chancellor Robert Louis suggested that the prince should go to a military school and learn horsemanship instead of attending color education, which changed the prince's life forever. Since this idea was accepted, it was decided to separate Alemayehu from SPD and put him under the control of the government and to attend his military education. But this decision was a difficult time for both Alemahi and SPD. Speedy and his wife put up a hard fight to keep Alemahee from giving up. But their struggle was fruitless. Instead, it was decided that Alemayhe should return to England. Speedy also came to England with Alemahe. Alemayehu's new teacher and guardian was also chosen, Reverend Blake, who was recognized as a teacher and known for his kindness. Queen Victoria also knew the love of Alemayehu and Speedy, so they did not want to separate the two too soon. Instead, she allows Speedy to stay with him until Almahe gets used to Reverend Blake. The new guardians of Alemahehu decided to make Alemahehu work. It was decided that he would do any kind of work for 31 and a half hours a week according to the shift. Speedy's wife objected to this and sent a letter to the guards at Biddolph Biddolph sent orders to Louis Alemayhe to spend some time with Speedy's wife. According to the order, Speedy's wife was allowed to live with Alemayehu. His wife revealed in a letter what she saw together: "He has grown taller." But his appearance is pale. His body is gone. It has become quiet and silent. He was not allowed to meet boys and his peers, and was banned from going out and jumping. He kept repeating, 'I've lost children who play with me. I am allowed to play with two children only on Saturday and Sunday. We are tired of these kids always being the only ones who come to play with me. But the other day, I have never even shaken other children's hands.'' I also couldn't make him a friend to let go of this annoying issue. He kept telling me, 'I want boys. I want us to relate more.' If I ask him how he is doing with his food, he will say, 'I can't eat now. Because I don't go out and jump and play, I'm not hungry. I eat little,' he replied. I think Alemayhe is not a happy and contented child." This letter, written by Speedy's wife, was received by Queen Victoria. The queen ordered that friends be found for the little prince to play with. And so it was done. In 1867, Alemayehu moved to Rugby School, leaving Reverend Blake's house and moving to Lew Warner's house. But he was not happy with this, and the following year he was made to live in Mr. Draper's house. Reverend Blake also said that from what he saw of the Prince's behavior, the Prince would be more effective if he focused on the military. Based on this speech, he was admitted to military school. On one occasion, Almahehu went to Leeds and was staying at Sir Ramson's house, where he was poisoned. The poison caused him to die on November 5, 1872 at 3 o'clock in the morning at the age of 19. His body was laid to rest in the Royal Cemetery at Windsor. There is an inscription on his tomb that says, "Alemayhe, Prince of Habasha" and it is still in England.
